Default ???of weight and performance!

Ok in my 6.0 reg cab that ijust got in recently...how do you guys think i will hold up vs a z28 camaro(basically just exhaust). I have a 6.0L lq4,full exhaust,intake,4:10 gears, plugs and wires. About to get a nelson tune. But with all of that will i even stand a chance? im also going to add a 100 shot. But before the nitrous how do you guys think i will do. I know there is a big weight difference but im not sure just how much that is. thanks

what year camaro? a LS1 one?

if thats the case the camaro weighs 3400-3500 pounds. Your truck should be around 5500-6000 i think? My ECSB weighed 5200pounds.

your truck should run 15.5-16.5 roughly.. the camaro would run 12.9-13.5 stock depending on driver

hope that helps

Are you HOC? How's his RCSB going to weigh more than your ECSB? He should be under 5000 pounds... With his mods, I'd guess it at around a mid 14 second truck so long as he has posi and good tires to put those 410's to work... Slower than an LS1 Camaro for sure, but not as slow as you're stating. Once he gets the tune, I would say a low 14 second truck on a good run.

With the 100 shot you stand a chance. If you had cam and a stall then it would be close, NA.

All it takes is a lid, exhaust and tune on an fbody and they are very hard to ketch.

The gravitational pull on trucks is much greater where he lives. JK man!

Seriously though, is this f-body an M6 or an A4. That makes a huge difference.

yea first...like he said how is my rcsb going to way more than ur extended cab? hmmm lol. anyways i have posi of course but im going to spray a 100 shot too so im thinkin i could beat him with bottle but i dont know how close it would be without it. Its sucks with the weight difference because ill have to have like 50-75 more hp just to stay even with them. Its just a 02 Camaro Ls1 with exhaust and a lid (thats the one i would be racing). What would my times be in the 1/8th. most of the camaros and TA's im around run 8.4-8.9

My RCSB (stepside) weights 4240 in full street trim and 1/2 tank of gas. Race trim is closer to 3800...

My 4.8 is good for 15 flat NA (perhaps high 14's with good track conditions) and in the 13's with nitrous.

The Camaro should walk on you with out the nitrous. Your truck should be somewhere in 14's off gas. With a 100 shot you should shave some where around 1 second off your ET.
