Uhhh...An 04 LS6 is 400+ hp out of the box
That black pickup is sheeaaarrrpp. I'dve tried to find one if they were'nt so hard to keep clean. What do you get for HP with the mods in your sig??

thanks, with the mods i have i put down 318, i believe my enging puts out 285hp according to GM... Dyno numbers don't mean squat... IMO track times is what counts...

Oh flywheel HP?? Sorry 99% of the people talk rear wheel hp because that is actually measureable in most cases, I don't think I have seen anyone strap an engine to a engine dyno before on this website... But hey if that floats your boat, engine dyno away... I still don't believe it will but down 400 right out of the box, sorry I am mr. Negative

Sorry about ranting in your post, but back on topic. IMO I would start with advancing 2 degrees and see how that feels, then advance or retard it from there. Since your after more power under the curve or at least that is what it sounds like I bet you will end up with roughly 4-5 degrees of advance
A couple of questions thou. What is the CR of a stock LS6? Also is the LS6 a motor that likes to rev or is that the LS2?
