I still have new UPD lids for sale. I think on a 6.0 it is worth around 25rwhp.

I have a k&n and like it fine I know different ppl like different brands but honestly they seem to all do the same
I have always heard do not get stainless steel or metal tubes bc they hold heat and do not transfer cool air as well as plastic tubes but regardless neither of my tubes fit good and the cheaper ones fit the best IMO haha

20 hp is a little exaggerated, you can feel 20 hp, and I know that I didn't feel diddly when I installed my K&N, or my Volant...just a lot of noise. About 11 years ago (man time flies) I installed the K&N on a Friday after work, and a Gibson dual out cat-back and shorty headers the next day and I swear that the FIPK made more noise than the exhaust lol. Both the K&N and Volant are quality pieces with good fitment, but if I had to do it over again I'd probably just mod the stock airbox, put a dry drop in filter, and either make an intake tube or get an air raid tube for 05+ trucks with efans, as it appears to have a smoother transition to the throttle body, and I have tons of room up front thanks to my 05 efans.

I gotta say i just bought a cheap cheap CAI off Ebay for $70 and then turned around and put a flowmaster 50 on it the same weekend and I have to say that my truck runs smoother, and goes easier with less resistance and I would estimate that my mgs have increased any where from 1-2mpg, as well as my fuel lasts alot longer. Pretty much any CAI will do the trick, the one that I have is just an open CAI with a heat shield to keep excess engine heat out of the filter. Gotta admit with the open CAI I like hearing the motor suck that air
