Yup... just stick with the truck intake dude... LS6 is gonna cost you $800+ and for your mods it wont be worth it. Maybe pick yourself up a set of 8.1 injectors though
I might be running this same cam in my 5.3 when I do my 4wd conversion... only I might go with a TB stall

When i bought mine early last year i couldnt find any like this on ebay, so i just ordered the bare intake from gmpartsdirect for 150 shipped and then ordered the 90mm truck TB for 160 shipped and am making custom fuel rails and for now i plan to reuse the stock injectors on my truck now.

well i can belive that a ls6 intake will not show any gains "but" you do have to have te tune and set up for the intake
1-you will need a higher stall
2-tune for it
3-have the right cam for it
4-and make sure you are making enough power to need it are tunring the motor up were the stock truck intake is droping off.
but remember it has alot to do with tunning.tunning is everything on these motors
you can not just throw stuff on the motor and think it will run it's best

Try this thread out.... actual testing here... In the picture I posted of the dyno test, the truck intake actually stays a head of the LS6 manifold ever so slightly. But there basically dead on with each other. Hence no real advantage or gain. I would really like to see the new edelbrock manifold tested against these and the TBSS mainfold. I know the TBSS shows a gain over the stock truck and I believe thats partially because it uses a 90mm TB rather then the factory 78mm TB that came on our trucks....

Ok. I actually read on another site where some people are getting gains and others aren't. It all depends on your mods. To me it's not worth a chance. I am just going to go with guarunteed mods.

I havent made and real progress with the swap, still getting the parts, i plan to get some aftermarket LS2 aluminum fual rails and use an aeromotive adjustable regulator i already have and my stock injectors for now.
Also i was planning on sending the intake and TB to LS2portworks and have them ported before install also, but well see how my cash flow looks when i get the TB.
