Default what brand / models do u use on ur tune-ups 5.3L

hello, i am going to do a tune-up on my 5.3L 2001 tahoe. on all my cars before this i always went to the dealership and bought factory parts for the tune-ups.

i was going to do the same for this truck to, but is there something that works better that u guys have tried, or even some brands that didn't work.

please list what u used including the model and how it affected your truck.

thank you.

this will probably be very helpful to many people.

my truck has 26,000 miles on it. i do a tune-up every summer, reguardless of the miles i put on. it is cheap enough u know?

i was always told to use factory parts too. but i hear alot of people use like the platinum plugs and different wires and stuff so i was wondering how those were. and what kind of experiances people had using different parts on ther 5.3's

we used the 4 prong platinum boushe ( spelled it wrong ) plugs on a friend of mines audi a4 and the car would not run. we had to go get dealer plugs.

if your not running any kind of forced induction, or nitrous i would put in ac delco plugs. thats just me though. wires wont make much difference....you know your factory ac delco plugs are suposed to go 100,000 miles before you have to touch them?? i would run a bottle of seafoam through the tank and call it tuned up
