WHAT CAM FOR 6.0

Re: WHAT CAM FOR 6.0
Picking a cam will depend on what you want out of it. I thienk the comp 212/218 cam is well suited for the 6 liter motors. It should keep a good amount of torque as well as make more power. If you want a higher HP cam and are willing to sacrifice a little torque, there are some other cams to choose from. Do a search in this section for some good info.

Hey Big Tex do you need new springs with that cam or can you use stock ones. I don't pull a trailer and i just like to play around. I have a k&n with the kirk and straight exhaust. I have a low temp thermostat in it also. I want to get headers and pulleys too. Let me know about the springs pleace.

With the 212 cam, you can run 01 or 02 LS6 springs from GM. If you go with a bigger cam, you should get comp 918 springs. They handle higher lift and have more seat pressure. If you intend to install a torque converter, you can go more aggressive on the cam choice and not notice the loss of low end torque.
