what cam specs are the 5.3 ecsb guys running

greymatter what stall you running?
im running the tsp 220 cam in my ex cab on a stock stall with 4.10s i put down 325rwhp on a dynojet

i havnt been to the track yet

those numbers sound more like it.... even 350 is is ok just 390 now thats kinda high.. and hope he doesnt get mad but i believe its a 3200 he can correct me if im wrong..

yank tt 3000 stall with stock 3.42 gears

390 is heads cam 6.0 numbers... Either he isn't telling something or the dyno is way off

Those specs look close to the torque 2 EPS cam. I am with the others I dont think that dyno is accurate. I talked to Geoff and he recommended about the same size cam for a dual purpose fun/tow vehicle so I wouldnt expect that high of numbers from a cam like that.

Derek just put down 455 with his 6.0, which is way nice for a 6.0. So I wouldn't say 60 less hp for a 5.3 is too much of a stretch. In fact, cube for cube, Derek's numbers are higher. Its not too unbelievable.

For the record, I ran him when I had my twincharger setup with the stock 80e converter, and we were about even til I pulled away at 90ish mph. The truck is quick, I can personally vouch for that.

flash about 3 at the track on tires
foot brake about 2 and start spins on the street

Those are pretty sweet times for a NA 5.3 and such tall gears. IIRC, those truck thruster converters have a pretty high STR, so I'm betting your gears just eat that up. Pretty slick combo if you ask me
