Just want to get some more out of my 5.3 and be able to carry it over into my 408 build. Not focused on making the 5.3 perfectly supported. The 408 will have flat tops, l92s and ls3 intake. hoping to see 450-500 to the ground with it when done.

stock heads. the only thing done to my 5.3 right now is cam and headers. With 4.30 gears and a 3200 circle d.

I just want a lil extra outta the 5.3 while the 408 is under construction. I agree with ya for the most part but I think it'll handle it considering some other people's spec's i've seen. It's obviously going to perform WAY better with some heads but it'll more than suit my needs for now. As for the 408 I eventually wana put turbo on it so a decent cam in it that will make good power is all it needs for now. Plus i'm going to have enough issues with traction with just that. I don't mind swapping the cam back out later down the road. If I can get 450-500 to the ground with it n/a i'm happy for a while.
