Intake and headers are the only mods? It may have been a issue before you did the mods, just so happened that it let go at that time. However it does look like a bunch of crap got in your intake ports. Whatever it was, is prolly stuck in your cats......

Also, that piston looks like its sitting on the cylinder wall..... Can you pull the piston at this point?? Too bad you are 5 hours away, I would give you a hand.

i will tomorrow. i have one bolt to pull on the AC bracket but i need to lift the engine about an inch to get to it. i get my engine puller and thursday i order my 383 rotating assembly and haul the block to the machine shop in my back up truck my "cough cough" VW GTI.

if a 12 pack is all it takes for him to drive 5 hours each way then hell pick the beer and start driving.

Any other mods???

Any other issues with the engine such as oil or coolant loss???

You should have found the Missfire issue before modding anything.

I did it was bad cats so i bought the high flow ones. i have LS1 e-fans, granatelli CAI, flowmaster super 44, 4.10:1 gears w/ detroit tru trac, and a Wheatley 91 octane tune. i did have a small vacuum leak on the EGR valve but it was giving me a 600rpm idle. hardly bad enough to lean out my engine and cause all of this.
