What do i need to put a 08 intake manifold on my 04 chevy

actually its a 78 mm to a 87 mm tb...
the trucks have a 87.5 mm tb...
and the cars have a 90 mm tb...

but does everything bolt on to the existing equipment or do i have to fabricate some stuff???

You're lucky you got an 04...it's already got the electric TB and returnless fuel. So the 08 intake should be a direct swap. Everything should bolt right on, except I believe you'll need to get the Dr. X harness for the TB.

Im curious to see what and how much of a gain this would actually be.. so if you so it please keep us updated... I honestly dont think it is worth the time and money to do it, but hey I have my opinon.. Good luck

This is true. I micd mine today. I have 3 intakes sitting side by side. TBSS LQ9 and 08 Truck. The cool part is the 90mm throttle body will work.

John, the only thing I can tell you is from 60-90mph with my truck it was faster by .426 seconds. I was going to dyno the difference but for me that was proof enough. I always said if you guys wanted some good hard numbers I'd take donations

yeah i've got two friends of mine that put the 08 intake on as well...
and they noticed the throttle response was way better...
and also that the high RPM's were really noticable... they said it was a big difference
and the got excbs and they still picked up .5 at the tracks...

A half of a second is pretty impressive for a part that I'd imagine to be relatively inexpensive (low mileage take-offs for maggies and such), and a direct bolt on. Plus, it's a factory part
