Default What to do next? Gears or dyno tune?

I have a 2000 rcsb Sierra with a 5.3 that I just recently traded for, and current mods are LLP Longtubes, Airaid CAI, magnaflow exhaust and ory pipe and blackbear 93 octane tune. The blackbear tune is not the data logging tune, just the one where you tell them your list of mods. The truck has 3.42 gears, but I was wondering if I should put some 4.10s in it or have it dyno tuned? There is an extremely good LS tuner in my area and I can't decide what to do.

Gears will make a huge difference, but you will need a tune for it to shift right. Gears are the biggest seat of your pants bang for your buck for sure.

Id go gears Justin (Blackbear) knows his chit. My tune was excellent even after the tune I added a few small bolt ons and my wideband is still showing good.

Okay, thanks guys. Will the 4.10s throw off my current tune? I know that gears do not affect the tune itself, but I didn't know if the basic blackbear tune has shift points changed and everything.

you will need a retune to fix the shift points and Speedo.
