Right now, I got a true dual system running 2 1/2 pipe, no cats, x-pipe and Aerochambers ran out the rear bumper with 3.5" tips on my truck. Its just a little too loud at WOT for my taste. I love the idle/part throttle but anything over 2200rpms and its loud. So, here are my thoughts. I could run a 3" true dual system with a pair of magnaflow/mufflers, x-pipe with dumps at the rear bumper, same true dual system but with one muffler DI/DO, or a 3" dual system y-piped down to a 3" single muffler and ran out the back with a tip or dumped. So the question I have is...Is there a big difference in power between these two systems or would I be fine either way. The main part is I want a healthy idle/part throttle and have an aggressive WOT but not loud. What would sound better? Any suggestions or comments is welcome. Thanks.
