You should see what insurance will run on the Lightning. That alone will probably make you decide to keep the Chevy.

I have checked before, it is very slightly higher than a normal F150. Not much at all.

I checked before and it was more than twice as much. Guuess it depends on where you live. Lightnings also attract more attention from the police than a sleeper Chevy.

oh yeah keep the silvy nicer truck imo.you will be more satisfied after doing the mods to your truck.

You definately have a point about the cops looking more at a Lightning. Also, more other people will look, because they expect it to be fast which is a mixed blessing.

I checked and it was $17 more every 6 mo. in central TX with USAA insurance for a L over a normal F150 with a V8. Probably more of a difference with insurance companies than region I bet.

I think that it is pretty obvious that he wants to keep the chevy and make it fast. Do that, notice I looked at the ford and still didn't buy one. Too hard to work on, and I have heard too many problems with them. Not to mention the crash tests are freaking horrible on them.
