I have hotchks 2" drop springs coils in front. For the back I have some shackles and I dearched the leak spring 2 more inches for the 4" rear drop. After changed the shocks in the back the truck now rides smother but not as smoth as stock.

 

I would also like to know for my EC.

I was thinking coil/leafs but it would be cheaper and most likely ride better with coils/shackles/hangers. I would love to do the McG spindles but I am going to wear the stockers down for awhile before I get new wheels.

 

I have a 2"/3"drop on my Tahoe,I'm using drop spindles front and a rear spring relocation kit so the ride is almost as smooth as stock.

did you get the leafs dearched somewhere? if so, what kinda fee would you be looking at....I already have the shackles installed and this would be a pretty good option for me.

In general, Front: spindles are great because they don't really impact ride at all.
Rear: velvet ride shackles and from what I hear de-arched springs would provide the smoothest ride. HOWEVER: this set up won't lower you that much, 2/3 or 2/4 is what this would amount too.

Yelo has a good plan for his setup though.

 

How would you go about de-arching the springs?

 

come to think of it, those 1/2 ton springs don't have much arch to begin with.....
