what gear ratio to go with?
i have found out, due to a bad weld, that i need a new set of gears. the truck has 3.73's in it now, but i was thinking about going to 4.10's. what do you guys think?
it is my daily driver, or i hope for it to be one day, but my daily driving consists of a 7 mile round trip to work and back, and just basic driving around town. not much if any highway driving.
and, i live about 15 mins. from redline, where i hope to be able to take the truck pretty frequently once most of the bugs have been figured out.
its a rcsb 79, ls1 with a 224 551 crane cam and lt's.
thanks

with that 3 speed you are going to be buzzing pretty high at highway speeds. If you do the swap just make sure you are comfotable at about 2700 to 3000 Rpms at highway speeds

i like the 410's as well. i do a lot of highway driving, and though it has cost me a little, the car seems to run much nicer. the fuel mileage decrease was well worth it. i would do it if i were you.

thanks, the th350 has heald up fine so far, but i have been doing a lot of work to the truck and it hasnt seen daily driving duty quite yet.
but i will take it over to a tech park that is close and romp it pretty good, has done fine so far...but it will really get tested once the new gears are in and i can drive it some more.
