Default what happened? truck dead

So I was just drivin down the road and my truck sputtered, started makin a clickin/tickin/tappin kinda noise and died. Noise was from the drivers side. I let it sit for a couple minutes and it started up still makin the noise and sputtering. What happened? Broke valve spring, collapsed lifter? Broke piston? It will still start but it don't sound pretty. There is oil pressure. No leaks underneath

You really need to get a wideband.

Could a clip have came off a valve? Or you may have broke a spark plug some how?

you probably broke a valve spring.. or lifter... thats the most likely problem...... pull the valve covers and tell us what you see....

Man that sucks, I'm guessing valvespring or something in the valvetrain. Pull the valve covers and take a look...

If you're getting a bad squeeling you may even have a lifter that decided to rotate....... Then it's time to start shopping for a new motor
