Default what happens when your truck is in limpmode

when your truck goes into limp mode how does it run and what all does it affect?(tranny,timing,tc,etc). and will it give a ses light when this happens.

My 99 model didn't do it, but on my 03, it does get an SES light. Transmission gets locked into a certain gear. Throttle is limited to just a bit more than idle.

It sucks. Feels like you are driving a 5000 pound electric golf cart. Top speed is like 30 mph and it takes ten minutes to get going that fast.

if you have a high stall like 3500+ you can't even move. i have been there before.

that happened right after my yank install. it was stuck in like 2nd or 3rd gear and would not go over 50mph.

come to find out, a pin from one of the wiring harnesses was not in contact with the other harness. messed up the speed sensor i think. easy fix though

oh man it sucks. It happened to my brother and I in his car one time. We were out in the middle of nowhere and he broke a valve spring.
