What level shift on the transgo?

Default What level shift on the transgo?

What shift firmness is everyone running with the trans go? I like very firm shifts but I want to make sure I am not killing the tranny on the highway. Any help would be great, I plan on installing it with the 3200 stall in about 2 weeks

If you are talking about the washers in the 2nd gear accumulator I would use the softest setting with no washers or possibly 1 washer at most, but that's just me. The ones that I have seen will still bark the tires on the 1-2 with no washers.

well I guess every thing, at some spots it talks about drilling holes and depending on what level you want you can drill a small or larger hole. I do have a vet servo as well. Just wonder which of the three levels must people are using, I thought to myself that all out race may be a little to much.

When I installed mine, I went with the larger drill size because I have an extra loose torque converter in my car.

We also did a trans go in my buddies truck and he also has the vette servo. I'm pretty sure he used the large drill size

, but he didn't install any washers and the shifts are really harsh. You may want to use the small drill size that way you can always drill it out to the larger size if you aren't satisfied with the performance.

Also, If you have any custom tuning that has adjusted the line pressure from stock I would suggest that you either return the line pressure settings to stock or do not install the boost valve the comes with the shift kit and leave the stock boost valve in place.

I have contacted westers and my new tune will return the line pressure back to stock as well as remove 100% of TM

Cool, man. I just wanted to give you the heads up on that one. My stock transmission got wrecked from having the line pressure turned up with tuning in addition to having the transgo boost valve installed at the same time so I try and warn people if I can.

I have the holes drilled, KDS billet servos, and 2 washers on the transgo, .. i like it.

With my transgo using 1 washer I think I don't just bark into second... I spin through it.

I have to ease through onto the throttle for 1st gear, and usually if I'm even 80% into the throttle it upsets the tires and the speedo jumps to about 65-70 from the tires spinning.

I think it may be due to my stall and crappy differential.

Barking is cool... spinning isn't. Depending on your traction, power, and tranny setup up may or may not want to take it easy on the firmness.

how firm is it? Is it to the point you think it will break it or firm enough to enjoy
