what makes caltracks better than traction bars?

i liked your bump stop idea so i just went out and looked, i dont seem to have any top bump stops. i wonder if they just let the shocks stretch out to the end of their travel. looks to me like i could easily run a cable from the top shock mount to the bottom shock mount and limit travel that way. easy to set up.

The first thing I noticed when launching with my DR's before the Caltracs was that the rear end "squatted" down, if you will, when I floored it.
After the Caltracs I noticed that it feels like it "sits up" instead of sitting down...I think it's just not squatting and just staying straight. No more wheel hop or anything...it just launches hard...even in my little 4.8

I don't know if anyone makes them but I always thought Ladder bars are the best traction enhancers.
They came standard on the 87' buick GNX (not gn). And if you ever seen one of these line up you would see them work. They actually cause the rear end of the car to raise up (when braking/stalling at the line) and pushes the front end down.
I know you probaly already know this, but I thought I would just throw it out there any way.

the idea behind the caltracs is where the energy is put when you apply the power. normal traction bars just attempt to keep the spring from rapping and force the spring to take all of the energy. running cal tracs at the right adjustment will keep the rear from dropping down heavily on the launch.
