I think you meant 10 guys with have 11 diff opinions.. theres always one that cant make his mind up

99-00 iron heads weird crank.
01-04ish good but smaller rods
04ish-07 classic are the chosen ones with good rods.
08+ are 52x reluctor ring for the crank signal
99-07 classic are 24X.

LQ9 are the higher compression 6.0s with 9.9-10.0 CR vs LQ4 with 9.4CR

This is an ad I found locally for a 6.0....

"I have a 2009 ly6 out of a gmc van vin# 1GTHG39K291105411 with 82k miles it has everything from intake to oil pan minus the coil packs it is a iron block 6.0 with the ls3 823 heads that are rectangle ported not cathedral like all the other LS style heads..."

Asking $3500..seems kinda high

I just want to thank y'all for the help so far.

You can get a brand new LQ4 for 3200 around here

An LY6 is the newer style 6.0 that replaced the LQ4. I believe it has Displacement On Demand option which is crap. There still much to expensive.

You should be able to find an LQ4 complete in the $1000-$1500 range.

Has the L92's though IIRC.
