What is needed for 340-350whp 5.3?
I've got an 04 5.3 Tahoe Z71.
Mods so far:
212/218 low lift 114lsa
blue ls6 springs
CAI
BB 87 Tune
Flowmaster super 10 muffler/cutout
I am planning on getting long tubes (if I can get some broken bolts out...) here soon with a retune to match.
my question is this... What else is needed to make around 340 to 350 at the wheels? I've thought about getting an LS1 or 6.0, but would rather build my current motor as its my DD. So I don't have to hear all those suggestions.

I'm curious too lol. And I only get about 15mpg highway.. But its been very windy the last few months. And I've got 33" mud terrains and leveled. It shouldn't be that low though, I wouldn't think?
and if you think I'm close to my goals, how far do you think I could get with some milled heads or something of the sort? Or whatever you guys suggest

Heres a list I have for the Lq4 6.0 im building for my rcsb..A few credible sources told me I would be around 375-380 to the wheels, through a 4l80e though..maybe I'm comparing apples to oranges, but I think you will need quite a bit more to reach 350 to the wheels
Motor- 2003-2006 Lq4 6.0 364 ci
Stock bottom end
Cam- Texas Speed 233/239 .595/.603 112lsa
Converter- Yank or Circle D 3400-3600
Heads- 799 casting # off of a 2008 5.3- 10.5:1 compression 93 octane
Head Gaskets- OEM style?
Exhaust- Longtubes, ORY, cutout and Magnaflow muffler
Springs- Some type of dual .650 springs, not sure yet
Pushrods- depends on head milling, 7.4” if leaving heads stock
Lifters- Ls7 lifters with ls2 trays
Intake- Stock for now, NNBS intake at some point
Ls2 timing chain
42 lb injectors
Walboro 400 return style fuel pump
Tuning- Blackbear Performance EFIlive scan tune
on the fuel milage, with my 6.0 swapped into the tahoe and a 3k stall, I probably average 15 or so, can get 18 on the highway but city sucks. Your tires will hurt you more than you think
