Heads will most likely come in at some point. So what heads would work best in my application if I were to keep the 212/218 cam? I'd been looking at the CNC 4.8/5.3 heads from SDPC. Seem like a decent price, but not sure what all CNC involves. I'm kind of a noob with that stuff.

and if you upgrade to the NNBS intake that'll help you a lot, I'm putting 352hp to the rears on the setup in my sig
this last weekend I added PRC 243's shaved 0.035" and some UDP so I'll rebook a dyno session in a bit to see what those gave me

just buy some PRC heads from TSP, for me it was cheaper to go that route then to have mine built

Only thing that PRC stage 2.5 heads has that I don't is larger valves, PAC1218s are good for 0.600" vs 0.650", I have stock retainers, seats, seals, locks as opposed to titanium.
How it looks like TSP is accepting customer supplied heads:
PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L CNC Ported Heads
If I were you, I'd buy a set of 862 or 706 casting heads (no castechs) and send them off to TSP.

the PRC heads are also CNC ported and come with titanium retainers and .650 springs, that's a lot different then a valve job and milled heads.
couple hundred more and you get a better head.

PRC is definitely better way to go, would have done that in hindsight.
