i chose the predator over wait4me because i wanted to be able to change between maximizing fuel economy and maximizing power depending on my mood. i found one on ebay for $170 and the guy said it was unlocked...damn thing ended up being broken so it will cost be a hundred more bones to replace...now im trying to check out alternatives

If you are dead set on a Handheld Tuner, then by far the Diablosport Tuner is leaps and bounds above the rest of the pack. I really don't have any experiance with the Crane Tuner.....but I've heard that it's as functional as the Diablosport.

Also...a. word to the wise............NEVER BUY A HANDHELD TUNER FROM ANY EBAY SITE........everyone I've ever bought, heard of or seen has always either been defective or vin locked.....**** that!

I'm not a big fan of Mail Order tunes, and believe it or not had Great Luck with Hypertech. It knocked 5 tenths off of my truck in the quarter. I also had a Crane Vinci which I bought from a guy on here used for $200. It's currently in use on a friends truck and it works GREAT. I'd get the Crane/Vinci tuner, you can do a bit more with it, and it works as a trouble code OBDII scanner that can read and clear codes.
A dynotune with wideband is the only way to go for a custom tune, but the handhelds work ok on a "stock" or mildly modified (bolt ons) truck IMO.
