Default what size band clamps for headers?

found some band clamps from jegs.com for these pacesetter headers. question is, do i need a 3" clamp or a 3 1/2" clamp? I know the pipes are 3 inches but at the joints its a little bigger, so which one do i need? thanks fellas

3" is what I used on my LPP's with 3" collectors and slip fits.

so im guessing these band clamps are what you can use instead of welding the y pipe and such together?

Well you wouldn't weld the Y pipe to the headers you'd use one of the various clamps to make them seal properly like v bands, band clamps, and what most headers and Y's come with those shitty horseshoe looking clamps.

if its a slip fit y-pipe youre going to want lap-joint band clamps. they have a little step in them, one for the larger side of the pipe and the other for the smaller.

If the collector is 3" you want the 3" band clamps.

The Y-pipe on my StainlessWorks set up doesn't use the lap-joint style and it's sealed perfectly
