Default what synthetic oil you guys running

hey everyone been in a debate with one of gm goobers that works next door about syn oil and he has been screaming mobile one only and i am a royal purple guy i have ran it in every rig i have owned and never had a problem but when i mention putting it in my 07 new body the tech starts telling me about the motor he pulled out that ran royal purple and it had engine failure due to the oil. so i am just curious as to what you guys run and think on the subject

RP is overpriced IMHO. Mobile 1 is fine, ran it in several e30 track cars, and my e46. Based on records my truck has had only dino oil till this point, probably going to just keep doing that.

just wonder how many people have complaints with royal purple other than price. i am not really picky. i have been sold on it when i went for training back in my oreilly days and the class was about royal purple and watching all the live tests made me believe in it a little more than others

RP 5/30: motor
RP 75/90: diff
RP trans oil
RP Power steer fluid
K&N HP-2001 (longer oil filter) more filtration media, holds 1/2 quart

In my 2010 Merc. Grand Marquis DD I run all Motorcraft oils:
Motorcraft synthetic 5/20: motor
CarQuest (made by WIX) oil filter
Mercon LV in trans.
