What type of oil does everyone use?

I was using M1 synthetic but comp cams does not recommend synthetic with there cams so im back to just strait m1 10-30 k@n filter

Mobil1 10w-30 synthetic...currently using ACDelco PF-59 filters until I run out (they've been discontinued, think I have 1 left). At that point I'll switch to whatever AC Delco is offering in a UPF, or possibly a Wix.

Valvoline durablend 10w 30, wix. Change the oil when it start to turn darker. Usually between 4 to 5 k

mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic, i usually run a delco filter but i tried a k&n this go around. i usually change it about 4-5k miles.

when i put my 6.0 i started with valvoline 5w-30 and changed it after 100 miles...next oil change im going to stick AMSOIL 5w-30 in it

I use royal purple 5w-30 synthetic and k&n oil filter. change it b/t 5k-6k miles.

No, that is not the case.

What the cam manufacturers are concerned about are the new API SM oils which lack some of the anti-wear additives that were thought to be crucial to cam wear. This is a major concern with FLAT TAPPET cams but since we are using ROLLER LIFTERS this is not something to be concerned with.

Now if you were running a flat tappet I would suggest running a diesel engine oil or even better, motorcycle oil.

Whether an oil is synthetic or conventional plays no roll in the Comp Cams concerns, it is the additive package that they watch for.

Oh yeah, to answer the question.

I run AMSOIL TSO Series 2000 0w-30 and an AMSOIL EaO64 oil filter. One change per year.
