I run AMSOIL Series 2000 and Mobile 1 5w-30 depending on if I have AMSOIL stocked up or not, and for the filter I run either Mobile 1 or Amsoil Ea02.
I change the oil around 8k-15k, I have oil analysis completed before and it proves to be working.

I run M1 5-30 for 5k miles, then i change the filter and add a Qt for another 5k miles.
For filter, wix and the cheap Tech brand wal-mart offer the best filtration. They have up to 99% multi pass. The K&N offers better flow for high HP engines but its effecience is 84% if i remember right. I dont mind giving up a little flow since i'm not top fuel, I want clean oil. I also have a dual remote filter setup I will be installing next oil change, that way I can just go the whole 10k miles between changes.

My bastard Blazer gets what ever is laying around. Right now its got a QT of Honda Racing 10/40, 2 QTs Rotella Synth. 5/40, some advance cheap brand makes up the rest of it. I havent changed its filter in about a year and a half too. lol
