Anyone have any experience with this? If I was looking for a totaled 99-02 Silverado with a fully intact engine & drivetrain, how much would I expect to pay either as an insurance buyback or at an insurance auction?

 

To buy a salvage vehicle it is roughly 25% of the retail value. Sometimes a bit more if the vehicle is popular enough.

But considering trucks are dropping big time in value it'll be very cheap.

 

I had a 2007 escaped wit 16k miles that i totalled January 16th of 07. Payoff on it was like 17k and buyback was just over 3K.

so yea. 20-25% seems right

 

Looking at 2500 at the most. Depending on where it came from could be as little as 1200-1500.

 

When I totalled my 1998 SCSB Z71 in 06, i got 10K for it. They offered the truck to me for 1000 dollars.
