The side-mount does especially when compared to a turbo.

can't speak to that from personal experience, but 45-50 seems a might low to start tailing off

I would'nt waste my time on a used side mount Magnacharger,if the rear mount turbo is complete and good condition, the turbo would be a better deal.

Probably because of the heat and no intercooler. Don't get me wrong it still pulled, but not as hard as it did off the line.

The turbo kit is $200 cheaper too! I may go with it.
As far as installation goes, which is harder?

Well....the rear mount turbo does have it's benefits, but if you're looking for something that's relatively simple to install, with tons of low end torque, then Magnuson is the way to go. Two things I don't like about the rear mount turbo: one is the way the intake tube has to wind around the front body mount, and two, using the engine's oil supply just give me the heebe-jeebies! I just don't like tapping into the oiling system. If I were going to do it (and I almost went that way), I'd run a separate oil line from a tank in the bed. But....I ended up going with the Radix, and I'm glad I did!
