Custom H Pipe & dual 3"-3.5" Spintechs
4.10s out of our 00 Truck
Updated Truck verter to 4200 stall
20" Billet Specialties wheels
4-6" Bell Tech Lowering kit
Tuning from Ed Wright or MTI

holy crap man, that would be freakin amazing!
seems like all the basic stuff it would take, do you know if u can just use the headers from ur camaro or will they have clearance problems? only other thing is, is there any reason you would do an h-pipe over an x-pipe? i know its small but just from what i've heard an x-pipe is better cause it flows more naturally...

<--- hoping joseph likes the idea

good luck,
bryan

Gimme the T/A less the complete drivetrain and it can happen
Actually you'll still have the 6.0L to put in the T/A if you want.
I'm voting to keep the 6.0L project for the truck for right now. Lets see what that can do first. And the 4L60-E transmission will say thanks

The Hamms have 2.5" collectors. I am sure those guys could customize them for you though.

Skip the K&N FIPK. With electric fans you could make a 4" air duct and get the parts from Home Depot. Then just get a K&N filter.

Go get 'em tiger!

Yeah it would have to have a 3" collector, but I don't think we'll be building the 422 truck right now. If Joseph decides he wants to try it then we'll go order a 02 Silverado & start putting the TA back to stock so we can sell it. I priced out a 02 Silverado & with LS & all the invoice is right around 20,500. not to bad for a truck we can build up IMHO.

DO IT! That would be incredibly badass. Nobody has even attempted anything near this. Everything you see is a hopped up 5.3L with a Whipple and/or N2O. I think a 422 cid truck would be a shoe-in for a few magazine shoots, and having a '02 Silverado that could click off 11's EASY n/a would be too cool. Just think of all of the races you'd get! How many do you get with the T/A now? NONE It's kind of hard to get someone to run when you're rolling around on 28" ET Drags, though. Still, an all-out truck would be SWEET. I think you should go for it!!!

i have to agree with trevor be a sweet truck, i mean there are a few other people that plan on going the 6.0L route, so why not one go the 422 route i mean, it just makes sense (not comming out of MY bank account..hehe)

Jason,
You are thinking the same things that have ran through my mind the last few months. But I think I am going to keep that motor in a racecar and the truck can be played with a little later. I think 11's are still possible with less than a 422 in a truck N/A.

But a few things to think about for the future...
If you do something this big with the truck I suggest getting some custom made headers. They can be made to fit the truck and motor and would most likely be your best bet. They sell LS1 exhaust flanges for $16-18 at your local dealership.
Also might want to consider a little different computer system. Speed Pro.....now called (FAST)
If your going to spend you might as well spend a little more money for a whole lot more adjustablity and practicality. The problem will be finding a tuner that knows what he's doing and can get it done right. Also different engine tuning can be loaded on a disk and changed at will. This allowing you to pass emissions when needed and have drivable power in the truck. Then load the other file and have all out badass performance with nothing held back.

If you are curious about any of this send me an e-mail and I might be able to suggest a few things or at least send you in a direction.

Also I need your address again to send the TB for the custom powertruck port and polish job done by your local shop...

Ok maybe a little much.... just messing with ya.

do alot of people use accell DFI on the ls1's, that would be great for the tuning if u took the time to learn how to do it yourself, save you ALOT of money also and you could change it when ever you want. i dont know if speedpro is pretty much the same thing though
