Well, 50 hp at the motor is what i was looking for. I never dynoed my truck and will plan on doing that before the swap. I know i will not get 50rwhp with a cam swap unless i go outragious.

Fast 4.8: You think i can get 30 rwhp with that cam you have for sale? Also, do i have to buy anything else to get the cam +4 degrees advanced? What all i need besides the springs, and gasket kit for the cam swap? We just may have a deal....

I would hope it could. Every truck is different, so there are no guarrantees. 30 is a general estimate, it could be anywhere from 20 to 40ish, but you should see a nice gain period. I'm not trying to seel you mine or make your mind up for you. You need to get what you want. The cam you have chosen will be a little better, but with a split, you can run into a few more tunning issues. How many miles are on the truck? You will need springs, at least LS6's, and I would go ahead and replace the pushrods with some stock length hardend ones. Almost all of out sponsors sell them. My cam is a little bigger than a lot of the "Standard Upgrade Truck Cams" out there. Most of those start at 206/208ish 510/512ish in the 114 range.

I have hppIII but am trying to sell it to get ls1 edit. I will get futral motorsports to tune it. I am looking around now and only found one place that has the cam for about $390. Is that a good price? I am thinking hard about the cam you have for sale. You think the ported heads i am planning to get will help in some hp too? Well, not really ported just a valve job and some cleaning up on the ports....

Any head work will only enhance the cam. $390 is about the normal price. I got a deal on mine. It cost me $346.xx after tax but normally runs about $375-$400 before tax. It's still new in the box, never even taken out of the plastic.
