whats the difference between a 1500 and 2500

i belive the 2500s also get the 9.2" front to dont they

yeah its a 9.2 or 9.25 IFS, I have seen it both ways while looking for 4.88's which I don't think they make. 1/2 ton's have a 8.2 IFS

the 2500(1500HD) have the AAM 925 front diff. and the AAM 950 rear diff.

so basicly the only other differences are the leaf springs, and axle sizes?

2500HD uses the AAM925 front as well.

and as stated above uses the AAM1050 rear diff. for the 6.0L and the AAM1150 for the 8.1L and the Duramax.
