whats the feeling or sound when floating heads

ok. does it feel like this right after or right before the shift. i bet it is right after the shift. if it is then it is torque management that is hitting you. if it is chirping the tires and is stock without a tune then it is pulling timing after the shift.

it actually feels like it is right before. its got the nice flowmaster rumble til like mid to high 5k then the noise changes...you can barely hear the muffler anymore. i dont know, could be nothing maybe the sound of everything spinning is drowning it out. at first i was thinking that the engine is trying to push more through the pipe than it wants to allow. maybe you could visualize it like this: you've got a flowmaster on it till like 56-5700 then a magic genie sticks your stock exhaust back on it until it shifts. it seems that dramatic. truck seems to be pretty much running ok, it just seems weird to have the exhaust note change like that. well, whatever it is i appreciate yall helping me. any more ideas or if you just want to throw rotten fruit at me for this thread then thats cool. thanks for the help guys

I've heard that stock springs are very weak and fall out of spec for high RPM duty surprisingly quick... something like 20K miles.
I accidentally over revved an old Olds 350 of mine. What happened with me: engine went completely flat, like fall on your face flat, exhaust/intake noises change tone, and there was a fair amount of clatter. No damage though.
