Just curious what the HP record is for the 4.8l & the 5.3l. I just got 520rwhp out of the 4.8l with a unlocked 3000 stall TCI verter & 3.42 gears. The sad thing is 15psi & 20psi really didnt make but 20rwhp more. The 20psi pull the truck was cutting out & actually even turned on a ses for misfires during the pull!!

 

Not real sure. I think parish8 made near 500 on his 4.8.

That guy rpm24 must have beem making good numbers in his procharged 5.3 with nitrous. His excab was running high 11s.

20psi, I assume its turbo'd, but what kind/size/kit etc?

 

Crazycuter4.8 just hit high 400's on his with an ungodly N2O wet/dry combo. Melted the TR6 plugs even!

parish made 494 i believe in a 4wd turning the heavy internally 2500hd transfercase with 265/75R16's and a power sucking 4L80E on a mustang dyno. i can certainly see that being topped in a similar situation on a dynojet or simply having a 4L60E.

CRAZYCUTER4.8 just put out 488rwhp on almost 200hp of wet/dry n20,headers,tuning,duals,intake,212/218 cam,z06 springs,TCI3000,and a basiclly stock tranny(shift kit,billet servos),stock fuel system, and yeah he melted the TR6 for the 2nd time. He is still be trying to get 500+rwhp!

 

488 RWHP ON PUMP GAS,22 DEGREES TIMING, 220 TOTAL SHOT(100 TNT WET & 120 NOS DRY), WILL BE GOING BACK THOUGH WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS TO GET 500 WITH RACES GAS, I NEED A REASON TO GET THE LQ9 PROJECT GOING, WELL MY WIFE NEEDS FOR ME TO HAVE A REASON.........

 

Is it lifting the heads yet?

 

A 5 psi jump should definitly see more than a 20 rwhp gain. Any ideas on why its misfiring?
