what's out there for the 5.3 topend?

that's a good pull all the way up there kevin. maybe your bigger cam is giving you the advatage in higher rpms. or like they say, all trucks perform differently with similar mods. what ever you doing its looking good.

my dyno #'s are ran through the exaust. i really need to run my truck on the dyno with open exaust like i do at the track. i'm pretty sure my stock catback tubing is hurting me on the upper end on the dyno.

here's my graph. good straight line of torque, decent hp but falls off at 5600.

Mine pulled pretty good up top too. We'll see how it does with the new cam and heads in a couple weeks.

Kevin, was your truck dynoed in second gear or with the converter unlocked? With your trap speed, I would've guessed it would've dynoed higher.

it was dynoed through full exhaust and in 2nd gear, they wont dyno here in 3rd gear anymore.

looks like they let off to early on your pull. thanks and your truck does great as well.

I witnessed one on the NBS trucks go boom in 3rd gear. However, the obs trucks driveshaft hold up just fine in 3rd gear.

G-force dynoed a ecsb Z71 they did 6L swap and it threw teh d-shaft across the shop and if you know how nice the 2 dozen cars are that they ahve in there at a time thats a scary thought

Blue what are you looking to get out of yoru setup? Driveability for DD duty and put down some 11s N/A?
