Unhappy Whats that sound!!!!

hey there guys after i had my converter on havent tuned yet.. drove it normally and pushed it a bit sometimes.. the tranny temp never went above 194... just a few minutes ago i was driving it and when it shifts i hear a squeak for 2-4 seconds not at WOT but normal driving.. when it shifts i hear a squeak it happened like 3-5 times in like 20 minutes.. damn it im really worried! ill be installing heads and cam tomorrow...

Did you use the bolts to pull the transmission against the engine or did you put it in place FIRST and then use the bolts to tighten it? After you tightened the housing where you able to easily turn the converter?

i haven't installed it actually a mechanic did it for me

Like Joshua said, I wonder if the mechanic pulled the converter towards the flexplate using the bolts, if he did you need to find a new mechanic!

That's why Some things you just gotta do yourself.

If he did as I mentioned that means he fooked your pump. which means now you need a new trans and converter.

im sure they installed it correctly i mean the garage is a transmission garage.. they install 2 converters a day for the past 5 years

Cracked flexplate maybe?

Make sure the bolts are all tight on the converter?
