Default What's with the VR King Cobra?

They claim 35+ hp (to the wheels I believe), but everytime it's brought up, hardly anyone says anything about it. And the few that say something about it, they call BS. Now I'm not saying I believe them, but how do you guys know if you've never tried it? Maybe it really will give you 15-20 hp to the wheels, or at least more than any other CAI.

Their claims of 0-60 improvements translate into ~70 RWHP gain. I don't need to go any further (myself) to decide the company and its products are worthless.

Those claims are never true, its like that with most intake kits. The old version of that intake had a problem sealing with the hood but the new one apparently fixed that. All I have heard is that they are good intakes for getting better MPG's. I dont know about gains but the +mpg's is suppose to be pretty good

Point blank if it gave the gains that it says everyone would have one by now and there would not be any volants or k&ns running around. They have fitment problems and they dont deliver on their gains that they claim. They have been out for months and there is a reason that no one has one because the people that did waste their money said that it didnt do what it advertises. Me personally I went with the cheaper intake route. Just my .02

the vara ram company is down the road from my house, so everytime something new comes out my buddy gives it to me(free) to try out. The old set up sucked the biggest *** of all intakes i've tried. Now the new haven't tried it yet. I might, but im lazy. I dont want to waste my time again to try a new intake out.
