Ya I have one like that on the "out" side of my muffler now and I have one of the preformed one ones on the "in" side of the muffler and the y-pipe.

Thanks for all you input guys!

I ordered a SS resonator to put on on in front of the Magnaflow hoping to decrease the 1800 rpm drone and if by chance it shows up today I will put it on this weekend, now that I know where to look for good clamps! I want to be able to remove it incase it doesn't sound right or work like expeted and band clamps are the best way to go for that. And since I am a cheap bastard I am always looking for the best price on stuff. Hell I'd probably walk across the street to pick up a penny.

I worked at serveral O'Reilly's and every store stocked at least 1 3" clamp. I bought one recently from them and went through the same deal you did. I knew they had them and did not leave until they looked on the shelves in back where they are stocked. The OReilly part number is E30ST for 3" and the line code is "ROL" $7.99.

Good to know I will have to let those dumbasses have it. I check at one napa and all he had in stock was 2" for around the same price so I'm guessing O'Reilly's is gonna be cheaper since they ususally are. I haven't bought any clamps yet since I haven't recieved the resonator, but I am hoping to need them this weekend.

I called and made them order the clamps. The idiot had trouble finding them even after I gave him the part number. Man I like O'Reilly's but the people that work at the one closest to where I live don't seem too bright. Anyway he finally figured out what I wanted and they should be here Thursday from OKC.

I went to O-Reilly's in kingfisher and they scratched their heads too, but I described it to them and they checked the books and sure nuff had them in stock 2 days later.. was bout 9 bucks a clamp. 3"

But mine ended up not working because the Y pipe is flanged so i'll probably need a c-clamp i think. anyone know?
the y pipe will slide over the headers and over the catback.
