Coated headers have also been shown to drop underhood temps by up to 20%. My own engine compartment temps on previous vehicles have dropped as much as 40 degrees by adding coating to already existing stainless headers.
Dyno numbers are nice but I am a fan of true real world performance. Never have I personally seen enough benefit of ceramic coating versus stainless steel performance wise. I had uncoated headers on my camaro and went to ceramic coated headers and saw no difference in performance at the track or underhood temps and that was using a aftermarket gauge. But that was just me. This is a big cammed LS1 348 making 425 rwhp in a auto.

Personally I dont like ceramic coating because it breaks down over time no matter what. But hey were getting off topic completely on this one. If your worried about rust I would seriously look at getting stainless steel headers and not have them coated as the coating itself will rust off.
