I would definitely get it tuned. I would never go F/I without a really good tune.

thanks for the info, i just called the shop i live by and set up a dyno tune for next monday morning at 9. Its called dynocomp, the guy said $600 for a dyno tune does that sound resonable? They also use hptuners. Kinda excited! :d sorry to jack your thread

600? idk about where you are but we can get dyno tunes for like 300 or 350 around the dfw area cant we chevyscott? i may be wrong but idk..

how much is a mail order tune cost then? I thought a mail order was around 300? Any input

idk dont take my word on it i havnt got a dyno tune around here lol but seems like a guy i know was telling me he got a dyno tune at rpm for like 350....i forget where rpm is but its around the dfw area

RPM is in lewisville.

Wheatley or blackbear can tune that thing pretty easily through mail order tunes if you don't wanna spend so much

what would you recommend ? I am willing to spend the money for a good tune. But the less i spend the less i have to take away from my saving for the flt trans and yank converter that i have been trying to save for.
