Jim - A set of 6L heads on that 4.8 would give you a nice 8.4:1 CR. Then you could throw your 6Ls stock cam in at the same time since its a few degrees larger. It wouldn't be optimal, but its temporary.

 

i just talked to sam at cmotorsports. the only part they are missing for the 408 short block is the pistons and they have been ordered. he is telling me they could have it put together and shiped out in a day or two once they have all the parts.

an 8.4:1 4.8 might be wicked.

 

Common, you know you want to push the 4.8

lol, you've actually set a pretty high standard for us 4.8er's.

 

ya i think that 12.6 was pretty good for the 4.8. But i think that i also found the limit of its stock lower end. 435-450 rwhp for like 9000 miles is the most it can handle. Thats why its time to step it up.
