Who sells 160 thermostat for Truck?
I ordered a 160 thermostat from SDPC for only $13. When it arrived being the suspicious type I put it in some water on the stove and watched it open while monitoring the water temp with a DIGITAL THERMOMETER. Well at 190 my 160 thermostat opened. Damn, that's the factory value! I emailed SDPC and they told me they pulled the wrong thermostat off of the shelf and that I would receive the correct one. I told them to be sure it was stamped 70 "C" which equals 160 "F". The one they shipped me was clearly stamped 86 "C" which is 190 "F". Much to my surprise SDPC later told me that they don't have 160 "C" thermostat as GM doesn't make one. The problem is GM has changed the thermostat for the 2004 trucks so that you can't take them apart and mod them yourself plus you can't put and old style thermostat in there if you have one you have modified yourself lying around as I do because GM has made the hole in the waterpump for the thermostat just small enought that the old style thermostat won't fit. Does anyone know who sells a REAL 160 (70 "C") thermostat for the 2004 LS1 Trucks? Does HyperTech offer it?

I got mine from Arizona Speed and marine. but you might be able to find it a little cheaper. my stock thermo was a 100C(212F), i put the 82C(180F) thermo in my truck, i didnt seem to see any change. its probably because is summer time and i live in phoenix. the thermostat is probably open all the time.
