Default Who would you have build your new engine?

After searching on the internet for 2 months I am still no closer to figuring anything out. I want to build a forged LS2 for forced induction. Please share your experiences bad or good with me.

What about Texas Speed, Weber racing engines, LME engines, HKE engines, Leading Edge Performance?

Ive got a Rex built 347ci LS... hopefully this one lasts...

If I had one built from scratch, I'd either have HKE in Houston build it, or just do it myself.

disclaimer: I've had problems with the first motor Rex built, but I think this one is good to go but only has a few minutes of jackstand idle time, no miles... but things are looking better so far. this post was not intended to start a flame war or pissing match... there, I said it...

To the OP, do you have any machine shops locally? Im going to be checking out my local options before anything else. Just because a shop doesn't advertise or isn't popular online doesn't mean they cant build a good engine. I also just don't like the idea of shipping an engine half way across the country and then having to deal with it if problems arise.

We have several machine shops locally that tell me they can do it. They don't do hardly any LSx type motors so they don't have deck plates. I want to spend a little extra on it to make sure it is done right so I don't have to mess with it again. I'm actually thinking about saving my original motor if I ever decide to go back stock again and just transfering parts needed to the new motor but leaving stock long block together.

Definitely thinking I will go with Erik at HKE. Now I just need to decide if I should go with a 370 or 402 with the TVS2300.
