Who's using a T56 behind their 00-99 6.0L truck? Im thinking i can use the LT1 T56

well i dont know much about the LT1 stuff but I will tell you the info Ive ran across in my t56 swap...
my 4.8 has the same length crank as you and to use the LSx style input shaft, it will have to be milled down or it will bottom out when you mate the motor to the trans...to take the input shaft out you just need to stand the trans on end and remove the bellhousing and the cover and just swap it out...
now you will not be able to use a LSx flywheel...I put the LS7 clutch on my truck and the starter wont hit the ring gear...reason being my stock 5 speed flywheel was recessed where it bolted to the crank to allow the starter to hit it...I got all the way done with my swap and just listen to the starter spin lol
so i have no idea on the LT1 stuff, maybe you can get it to work in your application but i just said hell with it and Im building a 6.0 with the shorter crank
