Also, It is way too easy to go overboard with a stroker build and end up with a truck that can't function as a truck. There are quite a few "heavy race cars" running around out there. I should know... my last 3/4 ton was lowered and had a 383 with ported Brodix Track 1 heads. It was still sort of useful but only for hauling up to about 2000 pounds.
This Radix install hasn't taken away any of the capability. That is a very good reason.

Mine's plenty useful for what I use it for...and that's hauling ***! The last time I used my truck as a truck was getting some plywood from Home Depot during the hurricanes last year.

The magna would be cheaper than a good full 408 setup, and you don't have any headaches. Everything is done for you, and I think that they are a great, complete kit. A heads/cam 6.0L or LS1 would be cheaper though, and would probably have close to the same power. It is all about how comfortable you are in tearing out an engine vs tearing out an intake.
