Allot more weight: Transfer case, front axle, transmission is allot heavier if its a 4L80E, rear axle is sometimes beefier, framerails are bigger, somewhat bigger brakes.

Not to mention, your Z71 has autotrac which when launching the truck probably engages a little. Aside from the weight of the extra drivetrain and hardware, twisting it robs some power too!

For point of reference. I had a 95 S-10 Blazer with the L35 CPI Vortec V6. I also had a 94 Bravada with the same exact engine except that it didn't have the counter rotating balance shaft that the 95 had. Both were rated at 200hp and 265lbs-ft of torque. But when driving the two of them, the Bravada felt sluggish off the line compared to the Blazer. It still got up and went, but didn't have that "snappiness" off the line like the 95 Blazer. Why? Cause the Bravada was turning it's SmarTrak AWD system and the Blazer was just freely spinning through it's transfer case in 2wd.

Autotrac won't come on unless you turn it on.

My first run on Sat, I had it in autotrac. I had a 2.48 60'. On the video, you can hear the rubber squeel for a solid 3 seconds. So I'm not sure that autotrac is all that I thought it was going to be. The second run, 4 HI all the way - 1.92 60' with very little spin.
