gm is just a little behind. the 05-newer trucks have e-fans but they also have a larger radiator to compensate for it.34" instead of 28"

By cooling down the coolant in the radiator even with the engine off you will create artificial flow and the coolant will circulate through the engine block, maybe not as fast as with the engine off, but their will be circulation.

The clutch fans hands down move more air and cool better for towing. and are FAR more reliable than the e-fans. They do rob power and milage though.

e-fans and towing don't mix, they simply don't move enough air, my truck with clutch fan never runs hotter than 100 even if it is 90 outside. A 10 horsepower lose is nothing if you can have that kind of dependability and reliability!

if your truck doesnt get over 100deg if its 90deg outside there is a problem. you should have a 185deg thremostat stock or maybe a 160deg aftermarket. your truck will heat up until it gets that hot and then it circulates the coolant
