Default Why doesn't my 05 Sierra 2500hd have efans?

Was the e fans only installed on the 1500 models? If I were to put efans on my 05 Sierra 2500hd, 6.0, 80e ,2wd ,w/t, would the pcm already be programed to have the e fans on? And if it was ,does anyone have a pic of the fan wire harness, so I could give the wrecking yards a look? Thanks for any help. I'm trying to get my gas mileage to go up so I doing bolt ons first to see if it helps.

Exactly. You do have a 34" radiator that accepts the 1/2 ton fans. I have 05 fans with a Nelson harness on mine, you will need to enable the fans in the tune.

Only the half-tons get the E-fans. However, I put '05 E-fans on my '03 1500HD with th 6.0 and they worked fine but I did have to program the PCM, and used a Nelson wiring harness. I never towed any heavy loads with it so I can't say if they're efficient or not in that respect

Did you guys that switched to e fans in the 2500 6.0 trucks see any gas mileage gains? Anyone with towing experiance in these trucks with e fans?

The heaviest that I have towed was 10,000 lbs, no cooling problems at all.
