Why The silverado SS is AWD
Many have scorned the silverado for its less then anticipated power output and AWD etc. What I figured today while flipping through a prep book for ASE tests (which are two weeks away ) An AWD vehicle will not be dyno emission tested. However in my state for an OBD II vehicle simply no SES and all monitors run will pass. Other states still have the rear vehicle sniffer test, and I mean rear vehicle a leaking/rusted gas tank/filler neck has failed people too. But the lightning is still RWD and 1/2 ton, maybe it depend on its low qantity and the ford gets a less intesnse emissions requirement. A buddy of mines Ram V10 doesn't have post cat 02 sensors, figure that and its a '99 too.

Re: Why The silverado SS is AWD
Hey fullfloating hd how do you like the predator programmer ? do you have to use 91 octane with it? I have a 2003 2500HD RCLB 4.10 4x4 and was thinking about getting it also. What do you think about the shorty headers worth it?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm gonna load up the predator at work tonight, i'll be sure to let everyone know. It does come in a cool box and If you buy from Tbyrne.com you get a hypertech thermostat free and overnight shipping. Dunno about the headers, They should make gains up top though. They are still in the box, just picked up the truck yesterday.
