Default Wideband hooked up to HPtuners. Now what?

I just got my LC1 wideband hooked up to my Hptuners and have logged some data. I guess Im just not sure what to do with it. Where should my a/f ratio be at what rpm? I was told I should be around 11.7 at WOT. I can post up my tune and my log data if anyone is willing to help. I was comparing my a/f to my ltft. in one cell the a/f was 13.1 and in the same cell the ltft was +21. Does that make any sense at all?

i tried to attatch the log and the tune, but it said attatchment failled? any idea

There are some write-ups stickied in the Tuning forum that detail how to place your truck in open loop and speed density mode all of the time, command a safe AFR (13.0 or 12.5 for example) in the Open Loop Fuel Adder table, then tune your VE table until the commanded AFR matches the monitored AFR.

Once the VE table is finished and you return your truck to normal closed-loop SD mode, the other tuning that you do should be very straight forward. For instance, if you want to change your WOT AFR to 12.0 you can just edit the PE table for 12.0 and it should be very close on the WB.

After all of this AFR tuning is done in speed density mode, if you want to re-enable your MAF you will more than likely have to re-cal for correct fuel trims. Good luck!

Hey DenaliHD

Looking at your sig, you're running a very similar setup as I am. I have an 00GMC Sierra 1500 EX cab 4x4 5.3L Whipple, PCMforless tune, 43 lb inj, 9psi 362HP 412Torque

2002 GMC Sierra 2500 HD CC 4X4, 6.0L, Whipple, Nelson tune, 43lb injectors, 8psi, SMC kit
372HP 405Torque

Just thought I would mention that.

i was under the impression that the tuning info in theses forums is for N/A vehicles. I was looking at the info by someone on hptunersforum and it said because i have 1 bar map, the tuning instructions won't work. i'll give it a shot anyway

i'm in the process of trying to follow the instruction for ve tuning. i'm in sd mode and it says to drive 100miles or until my stft are around 0. right now they are -20 to +20 even after 50miles. Also, my ltrims are not moving from 0 at all, clearly they are not being read. WHY? my a/f bounces around 14ish until i stomp it then it goes to 11.25 and stays there. WHY?

Am I doing something wrong and if so, What?

stock thats about what is suppose to do. no? did you reset you fuel trims. while your loging you can control alot of that stuff like timming open and close loop afr idle what gear your in and more. look in there and and try to set a afr and see if its the same on your wide band. and go from there

well when you first start your suppose to reset your fuel trims then drive normal. then comeback and change this and that then load it up the reset your trims again and drive more then do it over again until you reach like +-5 on your trims. i'd explain better but i don't have my laptop with me here at work.
